Beyond using them to find the sort of images or stories that move you, I wouldn't get too caught up in terminology. There are a lot of "community use" terms that have differing definitions, depending on who you ask. Remember, first and foremost, this is largely a fantasy (though it can relate to RL things,) and getting too bent out of shape over semantics can only kill the heavenly buzz.

Wow, thanks for all of the welcomes and tips! I've started looking into some of the suggestions; Code Eross 1 to 3 is my fave so far. I really appreciate the suggestions and am looking forward to exploring more around here.
