Just found this site today. After looking around seemed like a nice place to visit (looks around quickly then pulls out a sofa bed, computer desk, and a coffee pot). Mind if I move in?

I really like getting threads like this in Introductions still. It's been two years since we started now and people are still just finding us by accident. There's a part of me that just wants to go: "Pfft! You didn't know we existed?!?" And yet, at the same time other parts of me think: "Huh, you didn't know we existed."

Think about it, for however long we think we've been a tight, close-knit little community, there are still people out there who are still looking for a place just like this. We're out here like the holy grail for them. For every person who was flooded with relief at finally finding this site, there are dozens more out there just like them who still don't know about us. (Which may or may not be a good thing if Somethingawful decides to find/spam us). Every last one of these threads is kind of a virtual pat on the back. Every last user here helped build this place, and we should all be proud that we're still able to touch and change people like this.

Anyway, I usually don't reply to all these threads, even though I do end up reading a lot of them. I'm trying to limit my posts to just threads that have less than 5 replies, I figure everyone deserves at least that many people welcoming them. If I did it for everyone, I guess my post count would be artificially huge. But Itchy_nugget and I do end up reading a ton of these threads, and every one is as motivating now as it was when we started. It's really fucking cool that we can still change peoples' lives.

Anyway, off my mod-box. Welcome to the forum, I hope you enjoy the place.
