A penny per word is what I charge now, yeah. At first I charged a little under it, because I undervalued myself, but since then I've brought things more in line with the norm.
I enjoy doing it a lot. Generally I have work to do every single day, and I usually pull down $30-$60 per day depending on how much work I can handle. For my situation, it's great, but I can totally understand it not being for everybody.
And yep, Kuroshio, that'd be me!
It's one of my three original universe stories I do in addition to the commission stuff.
