I've been here for many years and while there have been a few ass-hats here as well as some heated disagreements due to posting before thinking (I've been guilty of that on more than one occasion), I have always been pleasantly surprised at how civil and respectful members are here.
I bet so long as you are polite and respectful, you will be happy here.
