and I don't know how to post a profile pic...

Under Settings and then 'Edit Profile Picture'. (Do note that if you're gonna post an image of yourself, you're required to follow the rules of the Post Yourself section.)

If a post is before March 2009, chances are there's no way to see the images. Big crash back then, lost all attachments.
