Nice Duke Nukem opener there! I've always preferred Hinata/Sakura pairing, but throw in Naruto and it's a party! We hope to see some of your art here sometime, as one fellow artist to another, and the Mod of the artist's room. Otherwise, enjoy your stay, lots to see, and glad you decided to join our little community!

I wasn't going to say anything about that, but at least someone did. I do remember the old "Adventures of Zelda" cartoon on Fridays shown on the "Super Mario Bros." show, but that's about it. No anime involved.

I was talking about anime inspired things. But there are a lot of Zelda mangas and the overall art style is Japaneese (large eyes, weird colored hair, and facial expressions) and if you want to get techinical, Avatar isn't anime either. But thanks for the hellos and and it is nice to meet all of you!

Do I want to get technical? You must be new he- oh wait you are. Saying "anime-inspired" means that anime was a primary influence in the work's conception. This is not the case with Zelda. The series' character designs were initially influenced by the popular anime styles about as much as all other Japanese games were at the time, but the actual inspiration for the series came more from classic western mythology, as well as the romanticism of childhood adventure and exploration. While yes, Avatar is very clearly influenced by anime (which is why i didn't quote that part), though most of its mythology is taken from China, among other places, Zelda is not. Even in the 80s, Zelda designs still tended to be rather separate from common anime tropes such as rainbow hair (which was actually used a lot in anime because so many styles were so generic that is was hard to tell characters apart otherwise), and since then the visual styles have branched off in a number of different directions. Ocarina of Time looks the most anime-influenced because the simpler, cartoonier style looked better in the early days of 3d games, and I can see Skyward Sword showing a lot of general anime traits, but that's about it.
