As one "pet" to another, you might want to consider a different color for your text. Hard to get leashed and lovingly abused when your owner is bleeding from her eyes. This blue isn't that bad if that's what you're going for. Bolding it might help for readability. Or this one, which is just enough color to have a bit of nuance to it, but also dark enough not to seem too off-putting.
Just some suggestions. Play around with it until you feel comfortable.
