The witch of Vandergesch

On the continent of Vandergesch a witch named Morgana was about to experience a life changing event. 

In her youth Morgana would be called princess and the heir to the kingdom of light. Being the heir to one of the five founding kingdoms meant that Morgana had a lavish childhood of pampering and private tutors, but it also meant that she had sacred traditions hanging over her head. She was like all of the princesses of the founding kingdoms was raised with the knowledge of what they would have to do if the Demon Queen was to wake from her slumber. Morgana and the other princesses would be expected to yield their virginities to the Summoned Hero to anoint them with the power to defeat the Demon Queen and prevent her destructive rampage. 

Morgana dreaded this responsibility above all her others because she was determined to save herself for the one she loved, but on her 18th birthday her wish became impossible. On that day the Demon Queen woke up from her century long pregnancy slumber and gave birth to this cycle’s demon champion a hydra lamia. This champion a monstrous woman with the lower body of a huge snake and several serpentine heads sprouting form her shoulders was born fully formed as an adult and would begin to terrorize the land in search for strong heroes to subdue especially the Summoned Hero. As tradition dictated a Hero would be nominated to be the Hero of the Realm and would face the demon champion while the Summoned Hero focused on the Demon Queen

Morgana was throw even deeper into despair when the one she loved Sir Landon a knight of her kingdom was nominated to be the Hero of the Realm. Now not only would she be obligated to yield her virginity to the summoned hero to give them the power to impregnate the Demon Queen and put her back to sleep, but her love would also be forced to face the demon champion. Morgana knew that the Summoned Hero would be appearing soon in the temple of dawn but she didn’t care all she could do was fear for Landon’s life and think of what she could do to protect him. 

It was only a few days after the news of the Demon Queen’s rise when Morgana decided on a plan one that was risky but if it worked Landon would be safe. In the middle of the night Morgana snuck from the castle and made her way out of the city. After some traveling Morgana reached an old tower in the forest that was rumored to be the home of a witch named Vani Yaga. 

Upon arriving at the tower she was greeted by an old woman who some how knew that she was looking for a witches assistance before Morgana even asked her any questions. Morgana followed the woman into the tower and climb a few flights of stairs to arrive at a room with a fire place and two armchairs. After sitting down Morgana asked if the woman was indeed the witch she had come seeking out. Vani Yaga confirmed that she was in fact the witch of the tales and asked what the princess needed. Morgana then explained how she loved sir Landon and that his task was certainly suicide and that she would do what she had to if it meant that Landon would be safe. After hearing the princesses plea Vani Yaga said that she could provide Landon with magical protection if Morgana would become her apprentice. Not knowing what that would entail Morgana agreed and shook the witch’s hand. 

Morgana woke up to the sound of a bubbling cauldron and the smell of smoke and what she hoped was soup. Morgana then began wondering what she was doing there and then remembered that she had promised to be the witch’s apprentice but couldn’t remember why. Vani Yaga had been true to her word and had provided Landon with the protection he needed to defeat the Hydra lamia. What she hadn’t told Morgana was that being her apprentice meant that she would have to give up her love and lust to fuel the magic for his protection. 

Time passed from that point with Morgana unaware of the world outside of her apprenticeship to the witch. The summoned Hero arrived in this world from another and traveled to all of the kingdoms taking the virginities of each of their  princesses. Morgana’s child brother had somehow taken her place in this duty leaving the Summoned Hero fully anointed. The Demon Queen was then fought and impregnated so that she could returned to a peaceful slumber. 

Landon unable to find Morgana due to the witches magic would surprisingly settle down with the defeated hydra lamia having several daughters. A few years after starting her apprenticeship Morgana would became a full witch herself and would take over Vani Yaga’s tower as she went to live with her sister up north. Many years after this Vani Yaga would get into a fight with her sister which would end in an accident exploding a volatile potion vial.
