Eyeronik Comics/Otto Maddox/JAG27 Review
Story by Nadiir
DISCLAIMER!
The content I will be discussing in this review contains instances of incest, characters that are implicitly depicted to be immature and occasional instances of explicitly underage characters portrayed sexually and engaging in sexual activities, as well as plot relevant death and gore. If any of those things bother you, youâll probably want to stop reading.
Introduction:
You may know them as work by JAG27, or Otto Maddox, from Crazy3DXXXworld or Plumptopia/Eyeronik Comics, but odds are good that youâve stumbled across least some of these works at some time or another across the breadth of the internet, and youâve probably enjoyed them. Iâve been reading these comics for several years now, now purchasing new entries pretty much as soon as they are available via his new-ish private site. For the purposes of clarity, I will refer to the comics as a whole as Eyeronik Comics, and the author either as such or as Otto.
I am posting this here because there doesnât seem to be any discussion forums for Eyeronik, and this seems as good a place as any to throw my opinion out into the world. There might be a better thread for this, I'm not sure, but I have looked. I intend to review and critique these comics both as erotic pornography, but also as works of fiction, both from an enjoyment perspective as well as from a more technical side of things. I make no pretensions about being a great writer, artist or critic, I simply like what I like, but I hope that I will be able to provide examples and reasoning to back up my opinions. Please also note that this review may contain unmarked spoilers.
I was first drawn to these comics some years ago because these comics aligned really well with my fetishes, and I enjoyed browsing them for quick masturbation material, ignoring all the plot or characters, and simply enjoying the great sex scenes. As I read more, I managed to find myself drifting into the actual plots and characters, and what Iâve read started me thinking about it, what I liked, what I didnât, and thus, this review. It may look like I do a lot of complaining in this review(-type thing) but I do it as a fan of the works, and what I find troublesome may not bother everyone. I definitely suggest giving his private site a look over to see if there is anything you like. There are free samples here and there, as well as e-books (a whole other issue I may also cover, weâll see).
For the most part, Eyeronik comics are generally enjoyable, supremely high quality pieces of erotic entertainment that will thoroughly titillate you, but has several severe issues in paying off its potential, and in the execution of its narrative. The books I cover below may not have their entire runs on his new site from the beginning, but in general buying one of (or maybe the earliest) available chapters will give you access to a link that allows you to download the entire back catalogue, so check that out.
General outline of the comics:
To sum up the general gist of the comics for those who may not have read any, the comics can generally be summed up as 3D pornography that focuses on themes of incest, a very heavy focus on belly fetishes and belly expansion, breast expansion, penis expansion, general weight gain and size fetishes while also attempting to weave complex narratives and character dramas throughout. Themes may include government and historical conspiracies, crime dramas, supernatural horror, alien invasions, more straight sci-fi, or the stories might simply focus on sexually-slanted character dramas.
Split into various âbooksâ, each book is generally self-contained from a narrative standpoint, although some are more so than others, and many tend to cross-pollinate during their run, as well as most explicitly taking place in the same shared universe. Most take place in a history in which the Nazis developed a scientific or supernatural breakthrough sourced from extra-terrestrial technology during the final days of WW2, only to have their work appropriated by the Americans after the war and secretly controlled by various shadowy, powerful organisations into the present day. Government and business conspiracy are constant themes in these works, to some degree or another, usually providing the catalyst and the impetus by which normal, everyday people are thrust into worlds of sexual deviancy and high drama.
Please note that despite appearances in this review, what I will be calling the Eyeronik canon, for lack of a better term, is much messier than I will be able to portray here. Characters and plot devices occasionally migrate from one series to another. More significantly, the comics that I am reviewing as part of the canon are more realistically the continuations of themes, storytelling and characters that have been on-going, more or less constantly for years, despite not technically being directly related. The author has been making comics for 20 years n
