Drastic Changes!

Emily was quickly getting dressed, she put on a pair of loose jeans and a t-shirt, today was the day the new gaming console she'd be waiting all year for was coming out! As she was running around the living room, Cassandra walks into the living room, still not dressed either. Just topless and a pair of shorts, she sees a hyperactive Emily gathering her keys, phone and wallet. "Em, what the heck are you doing?" Cassandra asks, still in a tired daze. Emily looks up to Cassandra with a smile. "You forgot? The new gamestation debuts today in stores! I gotta snag mine, been saving for months!" she happily boasts.

Cassandra rubs her eyes and moves her messy bangs away from her face. "Aren't you kinda old for video games now?" she asks. Emily stands up and looks up at her taller roommate. "Am not! Nobody's ever too old for those! It's a fun hobby to distract yourself from other things!" she proclaims. Cassandra sneers in return, "What, a distraction from how much you masturbate during the evening?" as Emily's face turns bright red. "Hey, I'm not THAT horny ya know!" she yells back. Cassandra continues to giggle as Emily walks out the door. As Cassandra makes her way back to the bedroom, she talks to herself. "That girl makes me look innocent when it comes to that,"

Emily was jogging down the block to the electronics store. It was mid afternoon, but she knew this console had a lot of hype behind it. She was hoping there were a least a few consoles left. Walking up on the store, she could see it was kinda busy inside. Emily gets to the front door and the cool AC on the inside greets her face. Emily quickly finds the section where the game consoles are laid out, as she walks down one of the isles, she sees a peculiar figure standing by one of the last console boxes. He wore all black, his black cargo pants adorn silver chains, he had a red, imp like tail. It twitched back and forth, as he had a child like gaze upon the one last console box on the shelf. His name was Numou, a dark blue and white fox with some strange features.

As Numou was lost in thought simply admiring the box on the shelf, Emily approached and noticed the dark blue fox simply lost in his own thoughts. "Huh," she says to herself. As she shrugs not knowing what he was up to, she snatched the last box. Numou comes out of his daze and realized Emily had the last one. "H-Hey! I was going to take that!" he said, trying not to sound upset. He really didn't want to yell at a girl and make a scene. Emily turned around and sticks her tongue at Numou. "Sorry, ya snooze ya loose! Been waiting all year for this one!" she says as she skips away. Numou's eyes glowed red. Angry with both himself and Emily's taunts, he calls for her attention. "Hey!" he yells to her. Emily turns around again, but quickly locked into Numou's glowing eyes. Emily's own eyes grow blank, locked into his stare, he snaps his fingers. Emily while still in a daze, after hearing his fingers snap, what looks like a rushing black cloud of dust heads straight for Emily's face. A strange warped voice comes from Numou, "How dare you just try and take what doesn't belong to you! You knew I was going to take the box, but you swiped it anyway! You knew I wanted it!! How dare you!!" She tried to move but couldn't! But Numou's fingers snap once again, Emily comes out of her daze. The fox still glares at her, as he angrily walks away to the store entrance. "That was weird," she says to herself.

Emily carries the console box to the register, happy but feeling confused and still dazed a bit. As she pays the cashier, she feels a headache coming on. But she's not letting a mere headache keep her from enjoying her new console. No way! The cashier bags up the console box and hands it to Emily. She makes her way out of the store and back out to the warm, summer air. Walking back to her place, her headache gets a little worse. "Maybe I should have eaten this morning," she says to herself.
