Tammy texted back immediately. COME ON OVER. She noted her thumb quiver as she hit the send button. Was she nervous? Perhaps. Whatever was going to happen she would be awake for it. The doorbell chimed almost too soon for Tammy's liking. She was just drying herself from a quick shower. Grasping for clothing she dressed as quickly as possible while running down the stairs toward the front door.

The door swung open and there stood Rain in a pink t shirt and tiny green shorts. She looked wonderful in all her petite glory.

"Hi," Tammy said plainly, trying to quiet her pounding heart.

"Oh, come in."

"Thanks."

Tammy shut the door. "Ya wanna go up to my room?"

"Cool."

The two girls went upstairs. Tammy shut the door and sat on her bed. Rain stood there, hands clasped behind her back.

"So what do ya wanna do?" Rain asked.

"Well, I think we should talk first."

"Yeah, I guess," Rain said, staring at her flip flops.

Tammy watched Rain. She was cute, not pretty. But she knew her own image wasn't world class either. FInally Rain peeked under her bangs at Tammy.

"Er, well, I'm thinking I need to say this. If you want to go after I say it, you can. No worries, okay?"

"Okay."

Tammy filled her lungs with air and sighed it out. "Okay. Look, what you did wasn't cool."

Rain nodded her head silently.
